The IPC Analysis "The Political Economy of Industrial Policy in Turkey in an Age of 'Weaponized Interdependence'" by IPC Senior Scholar Mustafa Kutlay and Mina Toksöz was published.

The global economy is undergoing a paradigm shift in which great powers increasingly weaponize economic interdependence. At a time when infrastructure, trade flows, and resources can be turned into coercive tools amid rising geopolitical tensions, many countries are adopting their political economy paradigms to enhance their resilience, including Turkey. In this context, industrial policy has been framed not as a technical issue but as a form of economic statecraft and national security. This analysis examines the political economy of industrial policy in Turkey, arguing that the success and long-term outcomes of these industrial policies depend on the institutional architecture upon which they are built.
